Goldstein, who plays the popular Roy Kent character in the award-winning Apple TV+ show, is reportedly among those said to have seen contract options taken up by Warner Bros. The CEO of that company, Channing Dungey, has delivered regular updates on AFC Richmond returning to streaming services around the world.

Leading members of the cast have aired their excitement at the rumours, with it suggested that pre-production could begin early in 2025, with Sudeikis – who fills the role of Lasso and is one of the show’s writers – reportedly on board.

There has been no official word on when Lasso could pick up a story that came to a close in May 2023 as the colourful American coach headed back to the United States from an eventful spell in England, but Goldstein is ruling nothing out. He has told : “I've heard these rumours. You got any info? Always dare to dream. I will never stop anyone from dreaming.”

Goldstein has previously claimed that there is “no plan in action” when it comes to a fourth series of Ted Lasso, while speculating on the franchise delivering a movie at some stage, but has never hidden his passion for the show as exciting filming doors are left ajar.
